Students taking medication
Please note that the following rules are set by the Local Authority and St. Hild's has an obligation to see that they are carried out.
NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE ALLOWED.
If your child is required to take medication (prescribed by a doctor) during the school day, please note that WE DO NOT ALLOW STUDENTS TO CARRY THEIR OWN MEDICATION IN SCHOOL.
A special medical form is required (this can be obtained from the Student Services office or from Reception). Alternatively you may download the form (3 pages) and print a copy. Depending on your internet connection, the download may take a little while, so please be patient.
Medication should be delivered to school BY A PARENT OR CARER (NOT by the child).
Medication should be IN THE PACKAGING AS SUPPLIED BY THE PHARMACY (with the label showing dosage instructions). Staff in the school's Bridge Centre will administer it at the appropriate time.
