Parents/Carers Contact Details

Make sure we have your up-to-date details!

Possibly the most important thing you can do is to ensure that the contact details we hold are kept up-to-date.

For example, if you move house, or have changes at work, or acquire a new mobile number, St. Hild's needs to know!

Otherwise we could, in an emergency, be trying to contact you based on information which is out-of-date!

So please ensure we always have accurate, up-to-date information!

SchoolCal – School to Home Communication App

SchoolCal is used to send you important information, such as details of Parents’ Evenings, publication of progress reports, examinations, start and end of term arrangements, emergency situations (e.g. in periods of extreme weather) and other important information which crops up from time to time. All messages are sent to ONE email address.

We aim to ensure that all messages you receive will be relevant to you; for example, if we are sending information regarding a forthcoming school trip, it will be sent only to those affected. Your personal information will remain securely within our school information management system, and you will not receive any “spam” or unwanted messages from St Hild’s.

IF YOU ARE NOT RECEIVING TEXT MESSAGES FROM US, IT IS BECAUSE YOU HAVE NOT REGISTERED FOR THIS SERVICE.

Absence Procedure

If your child is going to be absent from school, please telephone the school 01429 273041 Ext. 1 (by 08.30 if possible).

If any child is absent and we do not know why, we will telephone you to find out the reason.

When your child returns to school after a period of absence, we require a letter from parents/carers confirming the reason for the absence.

Safeguarding

St. Hild's Church of England School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. The policy applies to staff, volunteers and contractors working with pupils on school premises or away from the school on an activity, visit or other educational pursuit. All are expected to share this commitment.

Our new Safeguarding area will make it easy for you to find a variety of information . This will link in how to contact different agencies within Hartlepool and Stockton on Tees Borough Councils such as the new leaflet about The Children’s Hub which went live on Wednesday 1st June 2016.

Here is also a useful link to the http:www.teescpp.org.uk website which has a vast variety of information.

Also included is material you as parents can look at and use with your child at home. Linking in such areas as e-safety, anxiety, The Prevent Duty and Operation Encompass to name a few.

NSPCC Online safety - This is a really good place for you as parents to gain support. Please have a look.

ParentPay system

Money for spending in the Dining Hall can be added to the account by using notes or coins at any of the biometric terminals around the school. On the 1st December 2016 the Parent Pay on-line payment system was launched, allowing student’s accounts to be accessed and funds topped up by parents on-line.
