A Healthy Life - Our Rules on Fizzy Drinks

At St. Hild's we are strong believers in "a healthy mind, a healthy body".

Our Policy

There is overwhelming evidence to show that fizzy drinks are just not good for young people, as they are absolutely laden with sugar. Even worse are the
so-called 'energy drinks' which typically contain huge amounts of caffeine.

Our policy therefore is that, for the good of our pupils' health, consumption of fizzy drinks is ENTIRELY BANNED in school. Any fizzy drink found will be CONFISCATED AND DISPOSED OF. Simple as that!

Our Dining Hall sells only healthy drinks such as water, fruit-based still drinks and milk. Parents - if you are supplying your child with drinks to take to school, please ensure that you give them healthy drinks, not fizzy ones!

Thank you for your co-operation!
