KS3 curriculum

Years 7 and 8

Food Technology
Cooking and nutrition.

Diet and health.

Making changes.

Engineering Technology

Design and make tasks using appropriate CAD software programmes.

Generating technical drawings to communicate ideas.

Properties of materials.

Engineering Technology (cont)

Performance of structural elements .

Mechanical systems.

Changes in movement and force.

Electrical and electronic systems.

Computing using electronics to embed intelligence in products.

 

Homework will be set at least twice per half term.

 

KS4 curriculum

Year 9, 10 and 11 (G.C.S.E. and BTEC)

Students are entered for:-

GCSE Food Preparation and Nutrition - Years 9, 10 and 11.

AQA GCSE Product Design - Year 11.

AQA GCSE Design and Technology - Year 9 and Year 10

Foundation course in Engineering / Technology - Year 9.

BTEC Technical award in Engineering - Year 10 and Year 11.

GCSE Engineering - Year 11.
