Year 8 Coastal Visit Fieldwork
It was an informative and fun 2 days in which pupils put what they learned in the class to the test in the field!
Pupils were able to identify coastal features such as caves and wave cut platforms and processes such as solution leaving holes in rocks at the beach. They showcased how abrasion eroded the cliff.
We created a visual of Longshore drift with pupils carrying rocks along the beach and dropping them at the pretend groyne.
The day was finished by doing field sketches with labels to identify all the features they found at the coast.
Excellent work Year 8 you were amazing Geographers!!!!
