Important changes to our approach to Behaviour For Learning at St. Hild’s Church of England School.

We have been working hard preparing our pupils for changes to our behaviour system that will start on Monday 4th June 2018.

Behaviour at St. Hild’s is good. We know this because we monitor behaviour daily and everyone that visits our school or interacts with our pupils tells us. What we are going to focus on is ‘Behaviour for Learning’ which means making the most of each learning opportunity in every lesson. Your child should be able to explain the difference between behaviour and behaviour for learning, however if you require further details please visit our ‘latest news’ section of our website.
Pupils and staff have come up with the following 4 non-negotiables that will form our new B4L system. We are terming it B4L rather than BfL as there are 4 non-negotiables to remember. We have instructed pupils that they will be expected, consistently, to:

1. Be ready for learning

2. Actively listen

3. Engage in the lesson

4. Try your best
